ActionCOACH Coaching for a Cause: Cameron Rogers Appointed International Director for Coaching for a Cause
Cameron Rogers to oversee Coaching for a Cause at a global level
September 16, 2009
LAS VEGAS - ActionCOACH announced that appointed Cameron Rogers from Australia as the International Director for the Coaching for a Cause program – the company’s first-ever global cause-related marketing campaign.
The Coaching for a Cause program will have three Regional Boards. As International Director, Rogers will sit on all three regional Coaching for a Cause Boards to ensure the program runs efficiently world-wide.
“Cameron was the natural choice for this role. He is passionate about this cause and when we first discussed the possibility of creating a pro bono coaching program for charities, Cameron took the initiative to write a whitepaper on the program, which in turn, was very well received by our community of coaches,” ActionCOACH founder and CEO Brad Sugars said.
Rogers cites many reasons for his foray into the non-profit world.
“Having been brought up in a family that was heavily involved in the community, I felt I was missing something by not also being involved,” he said. “As a Business Coach I am in a very privileged position, where I believe that every Business Coach can make a significant contribution with the knowledge we can pass on to the non-profit world.”
ActionCOACH’s vision of “world abundance through business re-education” is what first attracted Rogers to join the organization as a Business Coach.
“I believe if we were really true to our vision, we could extend our help to not only businesses but also to not-for-profits."
From his own experience working with Days of Change – a non-profit organization involved in environmental sustainability projects, Rogers strongly believes business coaching can help non-profit organizations deliver stronger benefits to the community for longer.
“What we aim to do is to teach these organizations the fundamentals needed to be efficient and sustainable."
The program, which runs from October 1, 2009 to March 31, 2010, works on a pledge system, whereby top Business Coaches from around the world donate coaching hours to a charity of their liking.
To date, more than 150 coaches have pledged to donate 7200 hours- a value of $1.9 million.
Coaching for a Cause is an innovative, new program from ActionCOACH, the world’s number one business and executive coaching firm that makes pro-bono coaching available to charities and non-profits worldwide.
