Cancer Center for Kids at Winthrop University Hospital Named Best Not-for-Profit Company at 2014 Business Excellence Awards

Mineola, New York Hospitalís pediatric cancer wings earns high marks for great work

Las Vegas- At the Business Excellence Awards, held on Friday January 31, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans, the Cancer Center for Kids at Winthrop University Hospital was named best Not-for-Profit company.

The Business Excellence Awards honor the “best of the best” results in small and medium sized businesses from around the world, and showcases exceptional results for business owners, entrepreneurs, their teams and their companies. Cancer Center for Kids offers the best of care to children facing incredible challenges to their health and work hard to improve both the quality and length of their patients’ lives.

Their story was a natural fit for the Business Excellence Forum and Awards, which are sponsored by ActionCOACH, the world’s number one business coaching firm. Winthrop University Hospital’s Women’s Wellness OB/GYN also earned a Business Excellence Award in the category of Most Community Impact. ActionCOACH Founder and Chairman Brad Sugars presented both awards to Ammara Chowdhry, who represented the hospital.
