Local Home Builder Honoured at 2014 Asia-Pacific Business Excellence Awards

Perth company recognised with Best Community Impact Award

LAS VEGAS – Perth local sustainable home builder, Econstruct, has been recognised at the 2014 Asia-Pacific Business Excellence Awards, winning the title of Best Community Impact. 

The Business Excellence Awards, held on Friday March 7at the QT Gold Coast in Queensland, honour the “best of the best” results in small and medium sized businesses from around the world, showcasing exceptional results for business owners, entrepeneurs and their teams. The Awards are sponsored by the world’s number one business coaching firm ActionCOACH.

Econstruct were selected as the national category winner for their commitment to innovation, bringing affordable, sustainable home construction to the community. Owner of Econstruct Geoff Britton,prides his company on offering a real alternative to using traditional, non-renewable resources in construction, reversing the trend to design and build beautiful, practical homes that are energy and resource efficient.

“We were honoured to win the Best Community Impact Award,” Britton said. “With over a decade of hard work building solar passive and sustainable homes it is great to be acknowledged for the difference myself and my fantastic team are making to the environment and in the education of the community of Western Australia towards better building design and construction.”

Award finalists were also offered the opportunity to take partin the Business Excellence Forum, featuring seminars with leading businesspeople, including world-famous cricket coach John Buchanan and ActionCOACH Founder and Chairman Brad Sugars.

“The Business Excellence Forum was a fantastic event where I learnt a great deal from the presenters and like-minded business owners in the room,” Britton said. “The Awards night is a great way to celebrate the wins from the year and rub shoulders with the Best of the Best in business throughout Australia.  I’m already looking forward to next year.”

The three-day event is part of the company’s on-going commitment to innovation, business excellence and business re-education for owners and teams who operate and work in small-and-medium sized businesses.
